We are looking at adding the Storage Media Encryption (SME) option to our MDS 9513's to encrypt data going to tape (Backup).
This includes a 18/4 Port Multiservice Module & Software
-I'm not sure where to go in the eLab Interop guide to ensure it's even supported by EMC?

- Update... We've installed the SME module as part of a BETA program with Cisco and it's pretty slick.
It's super easy to install and configure (via FMS) and encryption (key management) is a snap. We are working out some performance issues, but those should be resolved prior to being released.

SME is not currently supported by EMC. Cisco won't be releasing the code to support it for a while. EMC will update our customers as soon as it is supported.
