Email address changed, cannot revert, all orders are gone

Question

I changed the email address on my online account and all my current orders vanished, and all my previous ones - WITHOUT WARNING. When I tried to change my email back it wouldn't let me, saying 'You have exceeded the number of times that email changes are allowed. Please try again later.' Ideally I want the orders from my previous email transferred to the new one - failing that I want to change me email back to my old address.
