OME R610 Drivers for OS Deployment update failed

Hi,

I am having problems updating my R610 driver pack for OS Deployment using OME.

Everything else is updating fine. idrac, Bios, LC, Firmware etc. But the Driver Pack won't

I have tried four R610, an none ist updating the driver pack. I have tried to reset iDrac, disconnected Power, cleaned up the iDrac pendig jobs. Nothing seems to help.

Is there anything else I can do?

----------------------------------------

This is a lab environment. OME version is 2.0.1 running on Windows Server 2012.

OMSA is not installed on my Servers. I am only using iDrac out of band.

OME shows me 'download failed', the IIS returns 200:

    I do have issues with this package (in fact the 64b version): it will fail on all my R610 (all running win 2008 r2). Running the package manually will give this error : "Execution status: Update Failure: Secure Copy Failure - The Secure copy function has failed"

    Hi, thanks for the post

    Here we can try a couple of things to troubleshoot the problem -

    1. Re-run the task with "Skip signature and hash check"  option unchecked in OME.

    2. Also check the Job status if task fails with this command - winrm e cimv2/root/dcim/DCIM_LifecycleJob -u:username -p:password -SkipCNcheck -SkipCAcheck -r:https://iDRAC IPAddress/wsman:443 -auth:basic -encoding:utf-8

    Hope this will help.

    Hi,

    I tried the update with sinature checking disabled. It failed on the R610.

    • I plugged my new R730xd into my lab and the OS driver package was updated successfully. Same file, same OME environment.
    • I booted one of my R610 into LC and I was able to update the OS driver package from DELL ftp.

    ----------------

    I used the Trouble Shooting Toll to query the iDrac job queue before and after the failed update.

    Before:

    iDRAC Jobs
    iDRAC Jobs Output DCIM_LifecycleJob
    InstanceID = JID_CLEARALL
    JobStartTime = TIME_NA
    JobStatus = Pending
    JobUntilTime = TIME_NA
    Message = NA
    Name = CLEARALL
    PercentComplete = 0
    MessageID = NA

    After:

    iDRAC Jobs
    iDRAC Jobs Output DCIM_LifecycleJob
    InstanceID = JID_CLEARALL
    JobStartTime = TIME_NA
    JobStatus = Pending
    JobUntilTime = TIME_NA
    Message = NA
    Name = CLEARALL
    PercentComplete = 0
    MessageID = NA

    DCIM_LifecycleJob
    InstanceID = JID_001421315976
    JobStartTime = TIME_NA
    JobStatus = Failed
    JobUntilTime = TIME_NA
    Message = Dell Update Package Download failed.
    Name = update:DCIM:INSTALLED:NONPCI:18981:0
    PercentComplete = NA
    MessageID = RED006

    DCIM_LifecycleJob
    InstanceID = RID_001421315977
    JobStartTime = TIME_NA
    JobStatus = Pending Reboot
    JobUntilTime = TIME_NA
    Message = NA
    Name = Reboot1
    PercentComplete = NA
    MessageID = NA

    WMI-query returns the same:

    DCIM_LifecycleJob
        InstanceID = JID_CLEARALL
        JobStartTime = TIME_NA
        JobStatus = Pending
        JobUntilTime = TIME_NA
        Message = NA
        MessageID = NA
        Name = CLEARALL
        PercentComplete = 0

    DCIM_LifecycleJob
        InstanceID = JID_001421324922
        JobStartTime = TIME_NA
        JobStatus = Failed
        JobUntilTime = TIME_NA
        Message = Dell Update Package Download failed.
        MessageID = RED006
        Name = update:DCIM:INSTALLED:NONPCI:18981:0
        PercentComplete = NA

    DCIM_LifecycleJob
        InstanceID = RID_001421324925
        JobStartTime = TIME_NA
        JobStatus = Pending Reboot
        JobUntilTime = TIME_NA
        Message = NA
        MessageID = NA
        Name = Reboot1
        PercentComplete = NA

    Hi,

    It seems like Dup/iDRAC issue.

    Can you create a support ticket so that the support guys can look into it?

    The support number is 800-945-3355.

    Has anybody solved this issue yet, please? I have the same problem with R610 but support just expired.
