Go to SolutionTower Plus EBT2250, cannot enter BIOS settings?
As the title says, I bought a new Dell Tower Plus EBT2250. Initially, when trying to enter the BIOS by pressing F2 at startup I got the "Dell Safeguard BIOS" window then nothing happened, even leaving this screen up overnight.
I ran the BIOS update today, and verified that I have the most current BIOS installed. Now, when pressing F2 at startup I get the Dell Safeguard BIOS" window, which goes away after a few seconda, and then leaves me with a totally black screen. Nothing at all happens, even if I leave the black screen up for 10 minutes.

@DELL-Chris M I was able to resolve the issue on my own. Dell Support came up with tons of things to try but none worked.
The fix is to go into System-Recovery-Advanced Startup and set the computer to use low resolution at boot.
You might want to add that to your support database seeing I am not the only person that ran into this.(edited)

Did you remove the retail ram and reinstall the shipped OEM ram?

@MNJohn And how do you get into the System-Recovery-Advanced Startup if it freezes right after the "Secured with Dell SafeBIOS" screen? I get a quick prompt at the top right "preparing one-time boot menu . . . but then it freezes. Same as Chris M, neither the F2 or F12 keys seem to allow you to go further.
One note: Although used to older systems, I noticed the two HDD ports had no HDD inserted in either port. I ordered an SSD, but can't seem to locate it . . .

Your SSD is probably an NvME located near the ram sticks on the motherboard. The Mobo should have an additional NvME slot nearby that one as well as the two SATA bays for up to 4 drives on your PC.
You should have better luck accessing BIOS if you shut the computer down while holding down the F2 key and keep it held down all the way through as you start the computer back up.
Alternatively you can open settings on your windows desktop, navigate to recovery, and then use the advanced startup option which will prompt you to restart the pc. Navigate to UEFI from there via the option to boot from different drives, if I remember correctly.

@Daksund Thank you. Found the SSD on the board and fully displayed in Explorer. But no luck with the freezes. Tried both your suggestions and even reinstalled, but freezing (and sometimes inadvertent restarting on its own) continues. It does not appear to be a software but a hardware issue. I will deal with the DELL help desk to see what will do.

Hi everyone,
We’d like to provide an update regarding two issues that have been reported on DCF so far:
BIOS Access Issue
A BIOS-level issue was identified that prevented users from entering the BIOS setup using any type of keyboard. This has been resolved in BIOS version 1.4.4 and later. If you're experiencing this issue, please update your BIOS to the latest version.
Wireless Keyboard Functionality
If you're using a wireless keyboard, you may need to press Fn + F2 during boot to access the BIOS. In some cases, wireless keyboards may not be immediately responsive during startup. If issues persist, we recommend using a wired keyboard temporarily to ensure access. Refer the keyboard manual for more details.
