broadcom 5709 and windows PE
this is from fed customer...
attempting to deploy image to r610 and 2950 servers using msft scom 2007.
trying to pxe boot these new embedded broadcom 5709 nics w/ windows pe. have injected all the drivers from dell site including the ris drivers, monolithic drivers, and
ndis/vbd drivers for the nic.
upon boot, nic isn't detected.
found some info (white paper) about microsoft's os not supporting the virtual bus device architecture of the netxtreme II adapter under certain circumstances, so tried monolithic driver.
still no luck.

unfortunately, I don't have PXE avail to test. but a couple other things to verify/try:
1 - inject drivers into both the x86 and x64 versions of winpe, and send both boot images to your PXE Distribution point
2 - take both boot disks, and create task sequence meda .iso, burn to DVD, and boot both of them on your servers manually, just to verify that the drivers are in winpe properly.
