Dell T7400 disabling RAID

I want to disable the RAID on my Dell T7400 but I am concerned that I may be required to reinstall my OS (WinXP SP3)?

The focus of our site is on enterprise class datacenter solutions, servers, storage, virtualization, enterprise applications and the like. We typically don't have the best responses for consumer related questions. However, we have a sister site, the Dell Community that specializes in consumer related products. If you ask your question over there, you'll typically get a better and quicker response since you'll have more like minded eyeballs looking at your query.

The main site for the Dell Community is located here : http://en.community.dell.com/forums/

Specifically for your question, I would suggest you post it here : http://en.community.dell.com/forums/3512.aspx

I would continue the conversation over there, but likely you are correct. If you have drives setup in an existing RAID array, you'll most likely lose the data if you disable the RAID. But if it's mirrored (RAID-1) .. there might be a chance that you could turn off the RAID and one of the drives might be able to boot, but it really depends and I'm no expert on the workings of the RAID controller on the T7400 .. best to ask them over on the Community Forums.

    Hope that helps !

Another non-answer by somebody who self-professed doesn't know what they're talking about. Why did you even weigh in only give no information?
