Battery life poor
I am experiencing poor battery life with my 1in1 Inspiron laptop. It last up to 2 hours which is a real problem when I am working at Uni with no plugs in lecture theatres. Does anyone have any tips on what I can do to improve it?
Should I change the battery already or maybe get some sort of plug in extended battery?

You need to supply the full model number -- Inspiron 7420, etc. for anyone to answer definitively.
To extend the battery runtime:
1. Disable as many services/programs as you aren't using (including Dell Support Assist, etc., which is a resource hog.
2. Dim the screen as much as you find tolerable.
3. Slow the CPU as much as you can tolerate.
Most of these probably have 3 cell batteries in them due to space constraints, and there's only so much you can do to extend the runtime with such a battery. Inspiron models are built to a price, so they very often do not have power-saving CPUs aboard.
