Dell Precision 5510 - Samsung NVMe ControllerPCI Express Status Test Failed

Hi,

I have run Dell's Full Test (40 min) Diagnostic and I've got this result:

Samsung NVMe Controller PCI Express Status Test Failed

What can I do in this case? Everything is up to date (BIOS/Drivers/Dell's Apps).

Some system info:
Dell Precision 5510
SSDR,512G,NVME,SMSNG,SM951
Windows 10 Pro

Thanks,
Mihai

Device Manager -> Storage Controllers -> Samsung NVMe Controller shows this info:

Driver Provider: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd

    Driver Date: 12/11/2015

    Driver Version: 1.4.7.17

Hello!  There is either something wrong with the test or something wrong with the drive.  If the drive came with the computer, you can contact Dell and have it troubleshooted and/or replaced.  If its 3rd party you will have to contact Samsung.  There may be an updated driver and/or BIOS file you can use.

The driver came with the computer. So, you suggest to contact Dell.

    As a side note:

The laptop has 1 year warranty.

I'll have to pay something in case no defect is discovered? I'm asking this because the company that sold me the system told me something like this (that I have to pay the investigation if nothing is discovered !?).

Also, is there a driver for this SSD? Can you give me a link, please? I want to reinstall it.

Hello!  Drivers for your computer can be found here.  I didn't see anything for samsung.  In terms of warranty, I've never heard of Dell charging to use the service when the computer is under warranty, but i'm not sure where you are at.  If you have to go through a 3rd party retailer, its possible.

I know: there is no driver for that drive. I thought that it can be found on other location.

Unless it is at Samsung's website, probably not.  If the ssd controller itself is failing its going to have to be replaced anyway.  I would contact Dell support in your area.

I just bought a Precision m5510, with the 1TB Toshiba NVMe SSD. I'm having the same errors. Did you hear anything from Dell support?
