I thought I would update in case anyone else gets this as this can lead you down a Thousand roads!!

it turns out my Keyboard a Corsair K65 RGB Vengeance, has a Bios switch !! like most i thought this was away of selected different profiles on my keyboard

But this is not the case,  apparently a few manufacturers realise some keyboards can conflict with Pc's and not be recognised by the bios

this switch is like a compatibility switch, you click through until you find the setting that lets you get into your PC's Bios,

    Hi,

Try clearing the CMOS settings and doing a power drain. Refer to the Service Manual under the Clearing CMOS settings section for instructions on how to do this. After clearing the CMOS settings, do a power drain (disconnect all external devices and the power cord, press and hold the power button for 1 minute, connect everything again and turn on the system). Try accessing the Bios to check if it works, let us know how it goes.

well thats a journey I wouldn't want to repeat!

    did exactly as you asked

then booted the pc and get an error " cmos battery fails!!

rtc is reset, bios setup default has been loaded , strike the f1 key to continue f2 to run the setup utility"

    but nothing responded,

luckily i remembered the PC shipped with the DELL bare as bones keyboard,

plugged it in . restarted and entered bios successfully,

seems my keyboard isnt liked by the PC, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
