I don't know (call Alienware phone support?) , but I wonder ...
Did you install Dell supplied Chipset Drivers first, immediately after Windows 8 finished installing?

Hi nikpower19,
I would suggest you to install the chipset drivers on the system so that ‘Base system Device’ drivers get installed. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the Operating system and download the chipset driver from chipset section.
Also, please refer to the link below for correct order to install the drivers on the computer.

Please reply us with snapshot of the device manager so that I can check and provide you further drivers if they are missing.

As i said as soon as i installed windows, i have installed everything that was provided in the resource CD .....cant recall if i immediatly installed everything from the website but i eventually did them any way
Clean install Win8 and let it finish.
Install this exact file (Aurora R4 Intel Chipset Drivers) as first driver
Reboot.
Check Device Manager.

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I also have an Aurora R4, which I received a few days ago and I have been having the exact same problem.
I have followed all the steps suggested in the thread multiple times to no avail.
I also had a Dell agent remote control my machine and come away stumped.
If you have a solution, I would love to hear it.
Thanks,
Neatoman

To be more specific - once you download - extract all the files.
Then make your way to the "Chipset" directory - then run "Setup".
(don't run the AsusSetup)
This runs the chipset drivers for a Intel Xeon system.
I ran into this problem after removing my HDD and put in a new SSD and did a fresh install of Win8 (did not using alienrespawn).
After the install, I had the same issue - tons of missing drivers in device manager. Even after installing the available Alienware drivers.
I put the original drive back in to do a compare and contrast and noticed a ton of Xeon drivers in device manager.
My machine is new this October - running a core i7 4820k processor.
