BLUE SCREEN problem

I have been haunted by the blue screen problem since the first day I got my laptop, usually once a day. I have tried many ways to fix this problem, but none of them works.  This afternoon the system collapsed 7 times in short three hours. I can't stand this any more.

I did diagnose my laptop many times, there is no problem with the hardware, but when I check the history log of blue screen I find out most of the problems are caused by files nvkflt.sys and igdkm64.sys, which seems relate to my graphic card. Could someone please tell me what the problem is and how to fix it. Many thanks.

Would help to know what machines you even have.

    Install BlueScreenView

    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

    Update your drivers

    http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&docid=536193

    Check temps, etc.

nvkflt.sys and igdkm64.sys is indicating nVidia and Intel IGP. I suggest you clean-install both. Meaning ... uninstall both and reboot, install nVidia reboot then Intel.

    Hi!

You can also reference to this article for instructions on how to retrieve the BSOD error code and to troubleshoot the most common BSOD errors. Let me know how it goes!

    Dear Naomi,

Thanks for asking, I was busy in the past few months and had no time to deal with the blue screen problem.
I encounter this problem a couple of times in the past month, they were about "BAD_POOL_CALLER","INTERRUPT_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED","IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR EQUAL" and "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA". And I managed to export a report of it with all the information, however I could not attach the report, so I will send you the bug check code.
Please find the details below, it'll be very nice of you giving me further assistance.
    Many thanks.
    Best,

Thanks for the information. Could you please send me the dump file report on a private message?

You mentioned before that you ran an ePSA diagnostic and it didn't find any hardware errors. Most of those BSOD error codes seem to be related to OS so I recommend these steps:

    • Update to latest BIOS and do a clean install of the video driver as explained on this article
    • Disable any factory overclocking.
    • Do a Clean Boot as explained here
    • Follow the troubleshooting steps here to fix the Master Boot Record.
    • Set Virtual Memory as explained on step 10 of this article.
    • If issue persists, I would recommend doing a clean Windows installation. For instructions, see this video

Let me know how it goes!

Thank you for your concerning. Could you at least leave me address of your private message, that I could send you the dump files?

    Many thanks.
