Exclamation Point not working

When I first boot up the computer everything works fine.   After a little while my exclamation point stops working.  All other keys and functions work fine.  I tried swapping out keyboards.  That did not fix anything.  I made sure my drivers were updated.  Still no luck.  does anyone have any ideas?   I am using windows 8 pro 64bit.

    Hi ddreveler,

    To assist you further, I would like to know the system model.

    Please check the functionality of the ‘!’- Key in notepad, MS word, Command prompt, and Safe mode with networking to isolate if the problem is with hardware or software.
