Called 1-800-ALIENWARE to get my hinge fixed on my m11xR1.  They were very helpful, knew the issue and that they had a redesigned LCD/hinge assembly to fix the problem.  The CS person even told me that this had happened to his m11x.  They are shipping the part to the service person today so they should be calling me tomorrow to set up an At Home Service call.

Thanks to everyone that has helped fix this issue.  I love my m11x and wouldn't want to give it up for a broken hinge.
