Dell Dimension E310
Hi
I have a Dell Dimension E310 The warranty is good untill Jan of 2010. Recently I had to have the motherboard and power supply replaced. I told the support agents that I didn't need a tech to come out to my house and install this stuff and that I can do it. I am a computer geek. I can do a lot of this stuff. So they sent me a I/O board, a power supply and a motherboard. I got all this stuff in and installed ok and I go to hook up my computer a few days later when I had time to do it, It wasn't giving me any video so I opened it back up and I there was no processor, I had all ready shipped back the old parts back by now. I didn't know that I was suppose to take the processor out of the old motherboard and put it in my new one that they sent me. I didn't even think a thing about it, I just thought there would be one in it. So I called back to tech support and now they say they just don't send processors out and I even asked to have it sent with a tech. They say they need a defective one back. They have my old one. They are telling me that I have to buy one now. What do you think about this?
