GX240 Processor Upgrade

I've been looking to upgrade my GX240 CPU to a Pentium 4 - 2.6GHz 400FSB, but the prices are a little more than i feel like paying.  I've been reading other posts that say there are no benefits to installing a chip with a 533 or 800FSB (which cost less).  But are there any drawbacks to installing one with a FSB greater thatn 400 MHz??

    There's a chance it won't work

That, and if it does work, it will run at a lower speed than it's rated for. A CPU's frequency speed is determined by it's multiplier multiplied by it's FSB, and if the FSB clocks down from 533MHz to 400MHz so that it can run in your motherboard, guess what part of the equation goes down with it? Part of the speed.
