HELP:DSL drivers question

HELLLLLP!!!

My hard drive failed, and after putting in a new one, I learned from Dell that I need to install drivers for my DSL. Dell told me to get installation instructions from support.dell.com, but I cannont find anything SPECIFIC. Do I need to find 1)drivers or 2) instructions for using their Resource CD, or 3) both? I'm not an expert, can someone give me advice?

    All of the drivers are available from the Dell downloads, if you don't have them.
     
    However, when you install a new drive (or reformat the old drive), after you install the Operating System you must install the Dell (motherboard) chipset drivers before installing any device drivers.  If you try to install the device drivers without the chipset drivers most will not be found.
     
    The chipset drivers should be on one of the Dell restore CD's. 
     
    There are no "DSL" drivers - that just refers to the type of broadband connection you have.  However, if you are using the Ethernet "NIC" connection (the 8 pin RJ 45 connection) then you need the drivers for the Ethernet card, and again they need to be installed after the chipset drivers.
