input ports

I was within a minute of ordering a 4600, but as I looked it seemed that the only I/O ports on the 4600 are USB ports. Is this correct?.. I have gadgets that I want to keep and connect to my new computer (printer, gps). This may totally prevent me from buying this system and search for another brand. Does the 4600 have only usb ports and if so is there a way around this?
thanks..

It has USB, serial, parallel, and PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports.  It doesn't come standard with a firewire port, unless you opt for the Audigy sound option.

Are there other ports you need?

Firewire ports can be used for a variety of external devices like HD's and optical drives.  The most common is probably digital camcorders.
