My E196FP connected to a new ATI Radeon X1650pro HDMI 256 mb performs a monitor self test every time I power down the computer or the monitor power management kicks in and shuts off the monitor.  This never happened with my previous two video cards (X300 SE and X600XT).  I also tried a X1300 XGE for a few days with no problems.

 

I should say that I tried two separate X1650pros with same issue.  Everything appears to be working as far as the card and monitor are concerned.  Was just wondering why the monitor no longer shuts down.  Any thoughts would be welcome.
