Please help! Computer keeps restarting!
I'm helping a neighbor with her computer. It is a Dell Dimension 4300, still in factory condition (same hardware and OS). Anyway, on boot the computer beeps and says that A Previous Fan Failure has been Detected and gives you the choice to enter the bios or continue. If you hit continue WinXP Home begins to load and then the screen goes black and a blue screen flashes followed by the computer rebooting. The blue screen has some text on it, but it moves so fast it's almost impossilbe to read. Any ideas on what to do? I checked the fans and they all work correctly, including the powersupply fan. Please help!

blackecho,
Open the system and reseat the connections to the fans in your system to see if you can clear the fan error. If you can not then your friend should contact tech support immediately to get the fan replaced or maybe the mother board as this is the only other thing that could be the cause of the error.
