You do not have a video card, but the onboard integrated video chip.  Very low end, not for gaming.  What game are you trying to play  ? 

 

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest  A game system requirement link to test your system to see if you can play that game on your computer.  See if you can find the game on the list, and run the program.  It will tell you if the game will play or not.  More than likely it will not or not very well.  You will need a dedicated video card.  PCI video cards or a 1 x pci-express card only.  None of which are great for gaming, but slightly better than the integrated one.

How to disable your integrated video chip as posted by the Moderator

2200, 2300, 2350, 2400, 3000, 3100, E310, B110/1100

* Right click the My Computer icon
* Click Properties
* Click the Hardware tab and/or the Device Manager button
* Open the Display Adaptors. You should see the Intel video card
* Double click the listing for Intel whatever
* At the bottom under "Device Usage", click the down arrow and change this to "Do not use this device, disable"
* Click OK- Apply- OK
* Close all boxes when done
* Click Start- Turn Off Computer- Restart
* Press F2 at the blue Dell logo screen
* Down arrow to either:
Onboard Devices- Primary Video
Primary Video
Integrated Devices- Primary Video Controller
* Change yours to AUTO or PCI (whatever is listed)
* Press ESC several times to Exit and Save your changes
* As the system starts to restart, power the system off
* Open the case cover and add the PCI video card
* Connect the monitor to the added PCI video card
* Power on your computer
* Let the computer boot up and load the drivers off of the CD provided with the card

Option 1

If you bought the PC from Dell, look at your invoice and it should tell you what video card it has.

 

Option 2

Right click 'My Computer'

Click 'Properties'

Click the 'Hardware' tab

Click the 'Device Manager' button

Click the '+' next to 'Display Adapters' and you should be able to see what kind of video card you have

 

Option 3

You probably have an ATI or NVidia card download and install the drivers for both

 

Post here again if you figure out what video card you have and still have problems.

 

 

 

 

 

It says I have an

Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family.

I have nooo clue what that means, or how to update the driver,

so if you guys have anymore advice that would be great!

Please list the games you are trying to play

The Sims 2.

I already went to that System Requirements website and it does say i need to upgrade something, but when I click on the link, it leads me to a site with a bunch of different downloads and I don't know what one to choce.

Sims 2 will not play well or at all without a dedicated video card.  You only have the integrated video chip on the motherboard.  You need T & L for the game, and the integrated video probably does not have this included.
