I have had my new XPS 420 a couple of days now, and overall I'm very pleased. Vista has been a pleasant surprise given all the complaints I hear about this OS. However, whenever my PC is shut down in the power saving mode, if I press one of the buttons on the Sideview panel, the PC immediately powers up again. Is this intended behavior? I thought the point of the panel was to be able to do some things even if the PC was powered down. That might be marginally useful, but right now all the panel does is provide me with a few extra buttons to wake my PC up again. Tom
