I have a Dell t1700 Precision work station.  For monitors I am using a ACER T272HL touch screen monitor, that is HDMI connected to the NVIDIA Quadro K2000 video card.  My second monitor is also an ACER, model H274HL that is connected to the t1700 Intel HD Graphics 4400 port.

The USB3 cable, for touch screen recognition and control, it connected to a rear connector USB port on the t1700.

When the USB3 cable it plugged in, it always indicates that the USB Device is not recognized.

In my device manager the Display Adapters show the HD Graphics 4400, and the NVIDIA Quadro K2000.

In my device manager the Monitors both show Generic PnP.

The problem is that my touch screen is not being recognized in Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.

From time to time the touch screen mysteriously starts working, but most of the time it will not.

Can anyone help?  This has really become frustrating!
