Video card recommendation for E521
I have the E521 AMD duo 3800+, Vista,2gig ram,256MB NVIDIA Geforce 7300LE TurboCache,
20 inch E207WFP Widescreen Digital Flat Panel
I'm looking to upgrade the video card, if it will help? spending around $200
I am going to be doing a lot of video dubbing from 8mm to my pc using an ATI wonder 650 card and creating home DVDs from 8mm movies. Will an upgraded video card
make any difference? or would the money be better spent on ram?
Not really into gaming. Web design and dubbing will be mostly what I do.
recommendations?
Thanks in advance,
-Rich

Yeah, the video card isn't going to make any difference. You also shouldn't need any additional RAM. 2GB should be more than enough.
Unless you're going to be doing this on a daily basis professionally or something, your system appears to already be more than up to the challenge of what you're going to be doing. The main thing really would be the CPU-a fast Core 2 would shave a big percentage off the time it takes to encode video, but your CPU is perfectly fine.
