I recently bought a second hand Dell Latitude XT, the original ones from a few years back.

Everything works great, but every time I switch between Tablet mode to laptop mode, the keypads stop functioning altogether

I notice though that everytime the start menus, programs start flickering almost as if a key has got stuck and then renders they kepyad unusable, strangely the number 5 on keyboard works ..sometimes the keyboard works but not the number keys at the top..If switching back to Tablet mode, both the pen and touch screens work fine, just the keyboard, even after a soft reboot, the keys still don't work..Its only after I do a hard shutdown/reboot, the keyboard is working OK again..

I don't believe the keyboard is at fault here, as I can use it perfectly happy in normal laptop mode..something very odd happens when it goes into tablet mode, as if a sticky key or num lock/ function is disabling the keypad functions..

I believe I have the latest drivers, but may need to re-check this again...

I have scoured the internet and no one seems to have come across this problem..

Any ideas or advice?
