dell n5110 battery - display problem
I just joined this community, since Ive been having some problems with my laptop. I found the same problem here, so I hope you can help me too. So here is the quote of the allready posted problem, that im having also: "my Dell Inspiron n5110 laptop a times displays on the screen at boot up and the other times not, yet it actually keeps working and I can even hear the log on sound even with no display... this happens especially when am using battery power,", - so sometimes the display works just fine, but sometimes not( even though i hear windows starting). Please, give me some advice whats can i do. Thank you in advance

Hi
Please connect an external display to the system to check if you are able to view the desktop.
The laptop is working perfectly as long as its on ac power. When i unplug it and use the battery, i can hear the windows starting but the screen is black. Ive tried with resseting bios, but that doesnt resolve the problem. Can someone please help? Thank you

Hi lella,
We will have to perform the ‘LCD BIST’ (Built in Self-test) on the computer. Please follow the steps mentioned below to run the “LCD BIST’.
In addition, please connect the system to an external monitor and check if the issue reoccurs.
