emmigrating

hello everyone, i'm new to the forum.  i have a question to ask....  i live in the uk, but i am in the process of emmigrating to canada. my question is.... i have a DELL desk-top computer. can i take it to canada, and will it work ok there??? i have looked on the back of my computer, and under the power socket there is what looks like a voltage switch... but not a finger flick over switch. it is set back into the housing of the computer. is this a saftey divise switch?   sorry if i sound a bit dumb.....   many thanks. jamie.

As I understand it, the switch behind is the voltage setting. Know the voltage setting you have there and see if its what is written there. Contact your UK support for further assistance as well. Peace!
