error 0F00:0232 & 0F00:1A32
Hi,
I have a DELL INSPIRON N5010 one and a half years old.. My HDD working LED sometimes goes 'on' and stays forever till my system slowly hangs up and i have to hard restart it... I checked with DELL DIAGNOSTICS it showed the following error :
1. in Read test :
error 0F00:0232
Msg : DISK - BLOCK 19657651 : Interrupt Request (IRQ) did not set in time
2. in verify test
error 0F00:1A32
Msg : DISK - BLOCK 19657651 : Interrupt Request (IRQ) did not set in time
After showing these results it hangs up with HDD-LED 'on' and i have to hard restart the system !!
Is this some bad sector in my HDD or something more serious than that ???

hmmm.. just because a single block in the disk is not functioning properly, does this necessarily require a replacement ?? i mean, wat are the consequences of this ??
If so ,approximately how much time do i have before it crashes out completely ??

The hard drive is toast - you need a new, 2.5" 9.5 mm or slimmer, SATA notebook drive.
