HDD replacement error.

Dear Dell.

I have a Inspiron N5110 with 640GB HDD. It was purchased with a Samsung HDD inside, but after 2 months, it started doing wierd things. I ran the diagnastics, it said, that something is wrong, one of your trusted service provided did a replacement in warranty. They gave me a Toshiba with the same size. I ran the diagnastics again, worked properly as it do now. The problem is all of the HDD analysises(HD Sentinel, HD tune even your Dell Support Center) says that is more than 1000 day old. The wierd thing is when I got my laptop back from service, it says only 60 days. My guess is that the HDD's SMART having some issues.

Can this mean problem for me, should i go for another change?

(I did add a screenshot about the current state. Nap means day and óra means hour!

Ohh and this sentence: " A lemez és a számítógép közötti adatkapcsolatban előfordultak problémák 26066 alkalommal." means " The link between the disk and the computer had some errors 26066 times".

I don't know what should this mean, i did not experience any error.)

Ohh and "újratesztelés" which means "test again" gives bigger number about the link errors and sometimes +1 hour to the working time.

    Hi,

Welcome to the Community. To confirm if its a hard drive error. Press the F12 key at the Dell Logo on startup, select diagnostics and run an extended diagnostics on your hard drive. Post back with any error codes.

    Thank you

    Hi,

I suggest you exchange the hard drive for another one. Did you get this from Dell?

You need to keep backups - somewhere.

Onsite service depends on the warranty you purchased - you'll have to contact your local Dell office to find out if that's available where you are located.

Not exactly. I gave to http://www.fixdirect.hu/ to repair it in warranty. They replaced it to this. The problem is, i have a lot of important files and i have no place to save them. And even the whole system is now perfect, i dont want to ruin it.

Although i use it for a lot of educational stuff, have a lot of AutoCAD and Solidworks homeworks to do :(

Just a question: I heard Dell have a "house-to-house" service(or i dont know what is the proper name for this in english), does this exist in Hungary?
