Adobe's software has run on Macintosh Machines Long before it ran on INTEL.

I find your statement that they require Intel to be very innacurate.
I am not knocking Motorola (love all their stuff) or Macs (would have one for editing, if i could afford). Correct, Adobe made programs on the Mac (Mot Procs) way before Intel was good enough for video editing... but the newest version of Premiere (Pro) is only released for the Intel platform... and the requirements recommend an Intel Pentium 4 proc. Also, when i was researching my first DV card, i was totally looking to go with a stellar fast AMD, but in the forums for the hardware/software, many people were having problems with the setup on an AMD based system. It maybe different now, but I personally wouldn't risk it. When i have more cash to burn, i'd love to try it.

Ingram Micro in the UK are taking orders for boxed Dothan Processors with an expected delivery date of the 30th April 2004 which seems to concurr with the fact that Dell will announce new Laptop models featuring the Dothan Chips next week. The cost of the 1.7GHz 2MB Level 2 Cache Chip is £256.67 + VAT. Also, the new Intel Network Wireless Card 2200 a/g formats is on sale for £16 + VAT with first stocks due in late next week.
