Latitude C600 Display

Quick question.  The screen on my C600 got cracked a couple weeks ago.  It's not major, but it is annoying.

I purchased a replacement screen on eBay, but when it arrived, I realized I had ordered a C610 screen.

They look the same, but apparently I can't plug the C610 into the C600 ports.  The vendor I purchased from said that there is an adapter to convert the ribbon cable for the C610 for use in a C600 chassis and with C600 software.  Is this true?  Does anyone know where i can purchase one of these adapters?

I'd hate to find out that I'm out $200 for the screen, plus whatever it costs to get the correct one.

Thanks.

It may or may not be possible, but what you'll need to try is the flex cable for a 610. However, the 610 and 600 use different video cards - so it's equally (or more) probable that the cable won't solve the problem - it may fit the screen side but not the video card.

There shouldn't be any problem with the video card, since the crack on the screen is from my lack of anger management skills and a poorly thrown battery...

    I'll try the cable.  Thanks.
