I'm using a C610 machine with W2K and appear to be having a problem with the battery option of power management.

 

I initialy set Turn Off Monitor to 3mins for both Plugin/Battery options and both worked ok.

 

However on the battery running down after after recharging the monitor didn't turn off after 3mins when running on battery only (still turned off ok after plugging in the psu.) I reset the battery option to switch off Monitor after 3mins and it worked ok again whilst running on only the battery.

 

But again after another recharge the same thing happened - so every time I recharge now and use the machine on battery only I have to keep resetting the Monitor managent battery option to 3mins turn off or else the monitor stays on.

 

It always works ok if I'm running off the mains.

 

Any idea why is this happening - is it normal to have to keep resetting the battery Monitor off timings when switching between mains and battery operation?
