Do you have a blank disc in the drive, or a flash drive with sufficient capacity mounted?

Go out and Buy a 16 gig Usb Flash drive.  It needs to be this big or larger because the recovery partition is 12 gigs.

Then press usb media and press Next.   It will make a bootable USB flash drive that will have the diag and recovery partitions as well as the factory image.   The only limitation of this backup is that it will not restore onto a drive that is smaller than the original dell drive.  So if you have a 500 gig you must restore onto at least 500 gig or larger drive when you do the restore onto a brand new never formatted drive.
