Processor upgrade/BIOS issues

Alright, about 2 months ago I bought my girlfriend a 1520 and took her T7500 out of it to put in mine(cold blooded, but she knew about it as it was a condition for her getting a laptop).  Since then, everytime I get into the BIOS I have to press F1 to "ok" the processor change.  Will the A07 BIOS update fix this?  Besides that it's working perfect.

you'll just have to try as dell gives no clue on what's been changed.

Well on the drivers and downloads page I select my model and then it gives me a list of OSes to download for: Vista 32-bit, XP and BIOS.  Under BIOS there is just one selection.  Is that version A07?  If not, where do I find it?

Thanks a lot.  I will be upgrading from Vista Basic to Vista Ultimate this weekend so the BIOS reflash will wait until then.  Thanks a lot for the help.

can I suggest that you do the bios flash in dos vs from in windows as the failure risk is much less.

I'm so unfamiliar with DOS that it's not even funny.  Is there a link to directions that show me how to perform this operation in DOS?  Do I have to put it on an external drive and boot from it?
