Resolution Problem

For a game which I am currently playing it appears that I need a higher resolution in order to read the ingame text since right now it is choppy and unreadable.  But when I go to up my resolution the highest which i can go is 1024 * 768. is there anyway in which I can go any higher with this?

What model notebook do you have, and which screen (XGA, SXGA, UXGA)?

    Nunnery,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

If you are referring to the in-game resolution, then that is generally part of the game software.  Some games, especially older ones do not allow high resolutions.  Some of my son's games are still 640x480x256colors.

You may need to contact the game vendor to see if there is any way to get a higher resolution.

With the in game resolution I am able to up the resolution above 1024 * 768 to 1200 (rounded) * 1000 (rounded) .  But on my laptop itself I am unable to go about the 1024 * 768 setting.  I have heard that I need to get the resolution correct in order to be able to read the broken text.  I have also made sure that I updated my drivers and directx to ensure that hose weren't the problems.
