userinit.exe- Application Error

Please help.  I am getting this Error message userinit.exe.  Cannot geton the computer. It just keeps giving me this message.  Have tried to start it in safe mode and in safe mode at an earlier time that worked but nothing seems to help.  No idea what to do next.  Any ideas?

By default, Winlogon runs Userinit.exe, which runs logon scripts, reestablishes network connections, and then starts Explorer.exe, the Windows user interface. userinit if corrupted might end up in an OS reinstal. before reinstaling OS, back up the data, run dell diagnostics on memory, if possible, try one DIMM at a time to ensure all DIMM and MB slots are fine and if everything is fine, reinstal OS that will fix the issue. However, if you do not wish to reinstal OS, try creating a new user name. and use the same :smileytongue:

Thanks for your response.  It appears that you were right and I had to reinstall the OS again.  Unfortunately, because it locked me out of the computer and in safe mode as well, I had to remove the hard drive and load it onto a disk before reinstalling the OS.  Hope I never have this happen again but have bought an external hard drive to back up everything so if it does, I won't lose all my stuff.
