XPS Gen II LCD problem
Ok, since i've had this laptop I thought i had it in the highest(and perhap native resolution of 1600x1024) for whatever reason i thought this was the highest) To say the least i had no problems with it but everyone and a while the screen would go blank, and i'd hafta wait a few moments( roughly around 10 mins) After this everything was fine. Since i had a desktop during summer, i used it 98% of the time and the lappy was secondary. It blinked out on my about 3 times during the couse of summer. Well, now that i'm back in school and using it as my main computer, its blinked out on myt wice in the past 3 days of my arrival here. Now i cranked up the resolution to 1920x1440, which should to native, so i'm hoping that this was was cauing the blackouts.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

*UPDATE*
Well its offical either something is ruined in my LCD or my video card. It blanked out on me again. Also might i mention that when it blanks out nothing showa up, even when its ruinning through the intial Dell screen int he very first few moments of boot up. I think i'm going to call dell and talk to them. That will be waiting until after 9:00 sadly, for i do not have a lan line in my house so, i gotta wait till its free on my cell phone. Also i do not havea CRT or any other moniter handy so i can test to see if it is the LCD or video card..... good for nothing 3000+ dollar paperweight
