Mine goes pinkish towards the right side as well. It's not nearly as bad as some Dell flat panels I've seen, but it's definitely present. My 2000FP used to do that too.

Same problem with my 2405. Noticeable pinkish area on the right side of the screen when displaying a white or light grey background image. Dell is sending me a replacement. It is also discussed here:

I am awaiting my 2nd replacement as the first one still had this issue. The customer support has been excellent. Fingers crossed this third one is okay, because apart from the color issue, this monitor is just awesome!

I wonder if this is some sort of compatibility issue with certain video cards. My 2405FPW is plugged into the DVI port of an ATI 9800XT 258MB AGP 8X card and the stripe is noticeable. Anyone else?

I am happy to report that the 2nd replacement that I have received does not have a pink stripe. It is an AWESOME monitor and Dell support has been great through the process...

It definitely cannot be a video card issue, as video cards either work or don't work, or else if it's a cable problem, then the picture would be unstable, but a stripe can only be a defect with the monitor. Get a replacement, you shouldn't have to be stuck with a defective monitor.

I got my replacement 2 days ago, I had been waiting for over a week. The order was still showing up as in production and it just arrived without saying that it had shipped on the website. So I would guess that it could come at anytime. Anyway, I didn't mind waiting longer if the monitor didn't have a problem.

When did you get your replacement? I've had a replacement on order for several weeks now with nothing in sight.

I received a replacement without a stripe also. Looks like the red stripe could have something to do with the alignment of the backlight in the display. This one has a single dead blue subpixel near the bottom left side of the screen - virtually invisible. Dell CS was great about sending me the replacement (took about 8 days) and taking care of the return shipping for the striper.

Does anyone have a suggestion for the best combination of quality and low cost video card to support the 2405 and compatible with a DIM 8200 with 2.54 GHZ proc and 1GB memory.  I currently have a GeForce4 MX 420 64MB card.  Thanks!
