dell m782 - problems fixed now?

hi--it seems like there were a lot of problems with the M782 monitors made late last year and in early 2003. can anyone who has purchased one since september 2003 comment if they are having the same blackout problems that plagued the models produced in 2002?

also, can anyone verify who makes the monitor now (i.e., from those who recently purchased)--is it a phillips tube or a samsung tube at this time? and where? china, maylasia?

thank you,
ic

the 733c that i saw recently appeared to be an nec/mitsubishi product. i think many of their monitors are nec/mitsubishi, now.. the tube, i cannot tell you about. so, i think the monitors today are quite different from the ones in the past. i prefer the sony monitors.. i noticed that both ibm and dell seem to be phasing out a lot of their crt models.

    ipaqchick,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Samsung makes the m782 monitor for Dell.

    ipaqchick,

Phillips makes the M782P monitor and not the M782.
