Thank you for your reply Chris.  I contacted Dell -- many many moments on hold while service agent researched for the appropriate part number and then to determine if I was to be charged or not.  In any case, a peer at work loaned me one while I await receipt of Dell's at no cost.  I believe issue is now resolved.
