Restart your computer in MS-DOS mode. From the command prompt, type in "CD\WINDOWS\COMMAND" and press . Then type in "SCANREG /RESTORE". Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to choose a date just before you made this change. Press . This should fix your system. Restart and let it go back into Windows.
I have this same problem but it came after a complete hard drive configure and re-install win98 Se OS, Cannot adjust pixels from lowest settings. Have posted an explanation on board but no replys as yet. Really need some sage advice cause Monitor was fine before re-installing Win98 OS.
