Please help! Is my 2001fp dead?
I was browsing internet and listening to mp3 last night and all of a sudden, the screen went black. I checked the video card by hooking it up to another monitor, it worked. I tried both dvi and analog inputs to the lcd (one at each time), neither worked. I tried to conduct the self-test, and only thing I could see is the "Dell Ultrasharp" logo screen for couple seconds and it went back to dark. The proper self test screen never showed up. The menu button does not bring up the OSD as well. ALL I COULD SEE WAS A DARK SCREEN. Both LEDs were green. The LCD is almost 2 years old and I never had this problem before. Please help! BTW: I bought the LCD individually, how long is the warranty I have on it?

1. Everytime the pc boots up, I can see the pc self-exam screen and a message saying "auto adjustment in process" (?? not sure the wordings but something like that), very quickly, right after it shows that message, the screen goes blank. That is why I can't really catch the exact message shown.
2. I connect a DVD player to it with the composite input. When the DVD player powers up, I can see a dvd loading screen but very quickly, probably within a second, the monitor goes back to blank.
Somebody, please help!
