He's talking about the FP not WFP (widescreen). The FP started with LG.Philips S-IPS panels then switched to Samsung S-PVA. This was before the banding firmware revisions. Some people have recieved S-IPS replacements though.

According to a Dell sales rep that I talked to yesterday, the 2007wfp is no longer an S-IPS but is now the Samsung S-PVA as well!
According to my understanding this is true below, I'll have to double check tonight at home because now I am doubting myself. So ignore what I said, I'll double check.
for the 2007WFP you should see: LPL WSXGA LM201W01
LPL = ? WSXGA refers to the resolution (ie Wide SXGA) LM201W01 is the panel model (LG.Philips S-IPS)
Yes I just received my 2007WFP A02 revision and it unfortunely is a Samsung made in Mexico. Should I just keep my A00 S-IPS LG one and return this A02 Samsung? Oh btw I BELIEVE this is not a refurbished, it looked brand new in my eyes. So that must mean all 2007 are now S-PVA and not S-IPS :(

Did Dell change 2007FP panel from LG Philips S-IPS to Samsung PVA to prevent "banding" ?
