Friends I have a Dell ST2310 monitor that I have connected to a Mac Mini via HDMI. During the past weeks, the monitor will not display on wake up! The light in front goes yellow after 3 minutes of non use and my MAC goes to sleep. No problem. When I hit the keyboard the MAC wakes up, my ST2310 glows white, BUT nothing happens, no display, screen stays black. Now, sometimes it does go on, sometimes it does not. I unplug the monitor, wait a bit, then plug it back in, monitor works. This has been happening during the past weeks. Could the monitor be going? Any test I could do? Used to work fine for years, now this. Any suggestions?
When doing the wake up, you can try disconnecting the HDMI cable from the mini end, then reconnecting it to the mini. This should force the mini to reinitialize the connection from its end. Also, test the ST2310 on a different computer. Preferably a windows desktop computer since we do not test on apple.
