U2415, Discoloration
Hi,
I bought a Dell U2415 monitor Tuesday. When I un-boxed the screen I noticed that there was a discoloration when looking at the the un-powered screen from a certain angle. After that I noticed that there was 2 areas there this discoloration is located. One of the areas has branches. You see the discoloration when the screen is unpowered and you look from a certain angle. Is it normal - or?

I just got a second U2415 and it has a bit of the same so it is probably normal.

I have now had the screens in a half month. They both have a pattern where there is discoloration. As I write this the sun is shining and "hitting" the screen - and I can see the discoloration pattern. The pattern seems to be constant (when seen from a certain angle) – and it doesn’t matter if the screens are powered on or not.
Is this really normal?? Or do you might have a batch with production errors?

I'm no expert but it looks from the photos like the anti-glare coating isn't applied properly in some areas. I would return them to your retailer.
