U2711 HDMI sleep-wake loop issue
hello
my U2711 monitor is connected to PC using dual-link DVI, and to Apple TV using an HDMI cable. when in DVI input source, the monitor goes to sleep fine, like any other monitor.
When using HDMI connection, and select "Sleep Now" option in Apple TV 2gen. monitor enters the dreaded sleep-wake loop.
HDMI is at 720p, and resolution cannot be changed, DVI is at native resolution, computer only has a single monitor.
is there any way to make the monitor go to sleep correctly when in HDMI input mode?

after a few days of further testing, this issue appears to happen when turning off computer on DVI, switch to HDMI, then try to turn off HDMI source. At that point, the sleep-wake loop occurs.
HDMI sleep appears to function fine when turning on the monitor via ON button in HDMI mode, not switching input method.
