U2723QE, KVM functionality with 2 Laptops with USB-C

Hi All,

I am planning to buy UltraSharp U2723QE monitor. I have two laptops a 2020 M1 13inch MBP and I will be getting a work Laptop with USB-C connectivity and HDMI. I was wondering how would KVM work in the two scenarios? Any advice/help would be appreciated.

1. Can I connect both the MBP and work laptop with two USB-C cables to the ports in the monitor and still use KVM or would this not work?

2. Connect the MBP using the USB-C cable and connect the work laptop using HDMI and another cable? What additional cable would I need to make sure KVM is working properly?

any explanation using the "connectivity options" diagram in the below link would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your time :)

Is there a way to do this if my two laptops have only USB-C ports? The above answer assumes the second PC has USB-A and HDMI ports. My guess is I'll need a separate USB hub to do this. If that is the case, what is the USB-C hub you recommend (that is known to be compatible with this monitor)?

PC HDMI out port --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> U2723QE #3 HDMI port
