I just bought a UP3216Q monitor and the X-Rite i1 Display Pro calibration package. The pdf manual indicates that one must use the Dell Ultrasharp Color Calibration Solution along with the X-Rite package and that one should use the cd that came with the monitor to install the Solution program. However, I did not receive a cd with the monitor nor can I find a link to download it from Dell. Could anyone please tell me where and how to download the Solution if it is necessary or how to use the X-Rite device to calibrate the UP3216Q? Thank you. Bob
Did not receive the CD? Was this UP3216Q purchased directly from Dell?
Mary G pointed to the UP3216Q drivers page which is correct. But you should first install the UP3216Q driver (inf/icm/cat) so that the Windows operating system notates the monitor correctly. Once installed, reboot the Windows based computer. Then install the Dell Xrite Monitor Application. Once installed, reboot the Windows based computer. The Xrite Guide is here. The UP3216Q User's Guide is here.
I ordered the UP3216Q directly from Dell, but there was no CD included in the box. The box was sealed and everything else was there and appears new but no CD. I did not follow up with Dell and just assumed that their current practice was for buyers to download drivers etc. from their web site. My mistake!
At any rate, as I indicated to Mary, I downloaded the Dell Ultrasharp Color Calibration Solution program as well as the most recent driver as you indicated. I will finish tomorrow afternoon by installing the X-Rite package and let you both know how it goes.
Thank you for your promptness and your help. I really appreciate it.
