I'm currently designing a new NetWorker environment for my firm. We have eight Data Domains and plenty of storage nodes.

Each DD is linked to two storage nodes with some Boost-Devices configured and in the client ressource the "storage node" field is filled with some storage nodes to send the backup data to.

Now I saw the button "Autoselect storage node". I would like it if I can just select this button and don't have to provide a storage node anymore.

Does anyone know how the selection process will work here? I'm afraid that NetWorker will send 90% of my backups to one DD and the other DDs will just be not considered.

My "dream configuration" would be to have a pool names BACKUPS on every DD and NetWorker will just autoselect a storage node with some sense behind it. The 10 TB oracle DB should land on the same DD every time to use dedup best.
