Jukebox unavailable

I am totally new to Networker and have been trying to figure out how to use the product, but I had some trouble when I came in the morning to check on the backups I noticed when I tried to manually eject a tape using the Networker Management Console it generates the following message Jukebox 'genjo' is unavailable. Temporarily made unavailable due to unexpected changes in the library. Any help trouble shooting this error would be a great help. Also if there is any documentation or manuals For Networker that I can read up on it would greatly be appreciated

Thanks,

Chris W.

Which version of Networker are you using?
Also have you tried rebooting the library?

There have been NW versions giving problems on Juke boxes. Make sure you are using NW 7.3.3, 7.3.4 OR 7.4.4. This error comes when something was manually done and jukebox is yet to come to ready state.

We are using Networker 7.4 SP3. I did try and power cycle the tape library, but it did not seem to resolve the problem I did not restart the Sun server where Networker was in stalled though as I was not sure if this could have any harmful affects. Do you know if there is any documentation that comes with Networker like a users manual. i have been using the help file, but it just gives a high level overview and does not really get in specific detail.

Thanks for the reply

Command line interface guide will give you low level details along with examples.

Use the Library management console to see if the library/drive are online.

Also you can use networker command "inquire" to see if the library/drives are visible to Networker.
