Error you have is most likely caused by either wrong auth, but most likely by key between boxes not right. Please check logs on both server and NMC host (daemon.raw) and see if you get certificate error. If yes, remove it from host which reports it (server or/and NMC) and try again.
On the NW client run add the server to the /nsr/res/servers or C:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\res\servers file (file might need to be created) (I guess NetWorker needs to be restarted after changing the file)
Check name resolution: nsradmin -p nsrexec . type: nsrla show name print This will show the server name to be resolved by the client and versa vice. This name must be resolvable. Maybe aliases must also be resolvable.
Check daemon.raw on client and server (maybe also NW Console Server):
I saw daemon log file on networker server and NMC.
please pay attention, that this scenario is about adding a Networker Server on a NMC (Networker Management Console) that there are 2 another NW servers on it ! and problem is on adding 3th NW server on NMC.
log of NW Server is :
90327 1486878117 7 6 2 5868 5112 0 srvca56-site056.site.tehran.iri nsrexecd NSR info 36 Unable to start the command '%s': %s 2 0 67 nsrsnmd -s srvca56-site056.site.tehran.iri -M 655 -n 309060609 -N 1 24 25 No such file or directory
71193 1486878117 0 0 0 3732 3728 0 srvca56-site056.site.tehran.iri nsrd NSR info 9 %s %s: %s 3 11 10 2932:Media 11 9 2394:Info 49 264 91043 41 Failed to start %s on host %s, error `%s' 3 20 7 nsrsnmd 12 31 srvca56-site056.site.tehran.iri 49 153 90327 37 Unable to start the command '%s': %s 2 0 67 nsrsnmd -s srvca56-site056.site.tehran.iri -M 655 -n 309060609 -N 1 24 25 No such file or directory
and when ever I try to connect with NMC to this server (SRVCA56-SITE056...) it would repeat this log on daemon file!
and the log in daemon file on NMC server is :
89879 1486877541 5 12 10 2096 3984 0 srvca56-site055.site.tehran.iri nsrexecd GSS critical 227 An authentication request from %s was denied. The '%s' provided did not match the one stored by %s. To accept this request, delete the '%s' resource with the following attributes from %s's NSRLA database: %s: %s; %s: %s; %s: %s 11 12 31 srvca56-site056.site.tehran.iri 11 26 89878:NSR peer information 12 31 srvca56-site055.site.tehran.iri 11 26 89878:NSR peer information 12 31 srvca56-site055.site.tehran.iri 11 9 2335:name 12 31 srvca56-site056.site.tehran.iri 11 19 2375:NW instance ID 12 53 f318390a-00000004-65ec063c-589ad93b-00011b00-5027bc21 11 19 33255:peer hostname 12 31 srvca56-site056.site.tehran.iri
According to log of NMC , I stop the NW services and (Bold) I delete the file that refer to ...site056.... and start services again. (IN NMC server).
and in NW server , I stop NW services and then rename the directory /res/nsrladb and then start services again and it create "nsrladb" directory again.
according to my said, on my NMC I have 2 Networker servers else that they are correct in use.
and I emphasize that this scenario is for adding a net Networker Server on NMC (management Console that is on a dedicated server).
I looked to servers file on path C:\Program Files\Legato\nsr\res\servers file
it was created.
is your mean that I edit this file and add an row with NMC server name ? (add just this character srvca56-site055.site.tehran.iri ? if yes I try it but error faced again!)
